This is Onyx and Metalica's youngest son Riot and Lantern and Frost's only child Peppermint as adults.
This was frankly such a common ship I finally made it canon.

Riot grows up to be a high ranking police chief. He used to -and was pretty good at it too- be a lawyer but found court rooms dull and found he preferred being the one actually saving people than the one locking them away.
In his late teens his legs were strong enough for him to start walking on his own and he hasn't needed a wheel chair since. He's determined and persistent and will always get his way. Or will atleast try to.

Peppermint -thanks to a very kind and large donation from Riot's parents- was finally able to get surgery on her legs so she could finally begin to learn to walk on her own. Her progress is slow but she no longer needs leg braces for everything. The only time she wears them now is when she has to walk long distances or has to go far away from home.
She runs a small sweets shop in canterlot -having moved there when Riot pursued his career in police enforcement- but the shop is currently closed due to being late in her pregnancy with her and Riot's first foal.

She's hoping for a little girl.
