Yes her eyes are do to a birth defect and the thing in her mouth is an eyepatch. Im so sorry I haven't been paying attention to what you commented on. I must seem like an ass

As for the eyepatch. Metalica has a "demons" eye do to her father being part demon.(Also long story short Metalica has no real parents she was created by a backfired magical spell) Its her only real defect that betrays that (If you look the whites are black and the pupil is white) being a kind hearted mare she doesnt want to give people the wrong idea or scare them off so she prefers to wear the eyepatch to cover it.

I really don't see anything wrong with her beside the eye but some people do have different eye colors for there eyes.

Its HOW her eye appears. The white is black the iris is red and the pupil is white. Thats not exactly normal. That and shes the daughter of a demon shes lucky its just her eye that shows this not the rest of her.
