A nice barbecue with some sizzling hotdogs or juicy hamburgers, some crispy cool long-necks in the freezer, fireworks lighting up the dark skies, decorations in red, white and blue and having a good time with family and friends – Happy Birthday USA!

Since it is my first 4th of July here on DA, I decided to dedicate this drawing to the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, featuring one of America’s most famous city girls. I just couldn’t help but make a patriotic drawing with Rita in it and as you can see, she proudly holds the star-spangled banner up with a gorgeous smile on her face. And why you might ask?
Because America is the place where she was born and where she lives with her friends while experiencing countless adventures in the Big Apple and even more. Just like many other Disney dogs and characters who are fortunate enough to call themselves Americans.

Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends out there and have a wonderful day!
