i hate it too, at least so far,but i know that its one of the most powerful and widely used 3d program out there, soi figured i hafta learn it
its not really all that hard, its just stupid >.> (because instead of pressing, say, G like in blender to move stuff, you have to use the dumb little gizmo, or open a window, and for some other stuff you ahve to dig through like 50000000000 menus to do a simple task, but as i said, it's not really hard)

oh... I like blender, but I think C4D is by far the most intuitive to use, while Maya is easily the most powerful.

3ds doesn't really compare to either C4D or Maya.
I rather like Maya and find it quite easy to use, once you get over a mildly steep first learning curve: then it's excellent.
C4D is so useful... mostly because it is easy, but at the same time also powerful...
