Description again, fully made in 3DS
rendered with vray

this one was easier because i already had everything set up, from the cube model to the lighting setup, i just had to tweak a ouple little things
and i learned to use reactor for the cubes in the back (reactor is basically physics based animation)

hehe companion cube! hey nice work. max and vary isnt easy, neither is C4D but its more intuitive and there are great tutorials at c4dcafe.com .

I don't know how you manage to use max like that... I hate it...

i hate it too, at least so far,but i know that its one of the most powerful and widely used 3d program out there, soi figured i hafta learn it
its not really all that hard, its just stupid >.> (because instead of pressing, say, G like in blender to move stuff, you have to use the dumb little gizmo, or open a window, and for some other stuff you ahve to dig through like 50000000000 menus to do a simple task, but as i said, it's not really hard)

oh... I like blender, but I think C4D is by far the most intuitive to use, while Maya is easily the most powerful.

yah, i know, i love blender too, and as far as i know C4D=intuitive, mayaowerful, 3DSC4d+MAYA)/2 (kinda, i was exaggerating a bit in my last comment XP )

3ds doesn't really compare to either C4D or Maya.
I rather like Maya and find it quite easy to use, once you get over a mildly steep first learning curve: then it's excellent.
C4D is so useful... mostly because it is easy, but at the same time also powerful...
