I think that's it's kinda done intentionally. Idk though, I'm slowly letting it go for other series that are grabbing my attention.

I don't think that the author had the same idea about the first twenty or so chapters as he does with whatever chapter he is on now. Sure, he's managed to make sense of it, but Medaka Box had always been close to getting canceled in Shounen Jump or whatever Shounen magazine it was in, I forget. He changed it, and it's viewership increased and it became more popular. I think he might have had some ideas about where it was going, but he didn't fully figure it out until just now in the manga where he's created a more definite plot, but that's just how I see it. I feel like he had a plan in the beginning, but the lack of interest meant a different angle which he wasn't fully prepared to write until more recently in the chapters, but I haven't read the last couple chapters in a while, so eh.
I stopped reading it a while ago, so maybe it's getting better. If you've got any recommendations, send them my way, homie.

Oh I have a TONE, but haha, a lot of them do not have a lot of chapters yet. There are some really nice manga around if you search hard enough. hrm, I guess I would suggest [link] because of the amazing art and interesting story line (but it's just begun so haha, cliffhanger). I don't know if you like slice of life stuff but I found this a cute read with interesting stories [link] (lol, also a little short). [link] [link] these two are by the same artist, I really like his pacing and story developement. They're both interesting reads. I'd suggest more but I can't remember off the top of my head.XD
