I hope I did this ok.... When I outlined the rose It didn't feel like it had enough so I shaded it. Normally I would color it with colored pencils or Copic Markers (But I don't have any reds) instead I went with pencil. I've been trying to get better with shading with a pencil.Related content

This is awesome, too! The shading looks refined and I love the ink job on this too! It looks great! What did you use as a reference? I've tried stuff like this and it's quite difficult sometimes to get the correct perspective.

Oh, I didn't use many references on this one. I just looked at a few pictures of some roses and came up with this. Flowers are a strong point for me, so I guess I didn't need much.
