This sketch was vaguely inspired by one of the poses from Elsa, the Snow Queen from Disney's Frozen, except I went with a less-sassy sort of posture and expression. I've always liked drawing braids on characters, and often when I write stories, there is at least one character who has their hair in one, whether it's a full-on braid like this character, a medieval/Viking style of thinner braid, or your typical Jedi Padawan sort of thin braid. While your definition may vary as to what 'plus-sized' means, I keep getting the feeling when I look at this that the character herself is a bit on the plus side. I don't ascribe to what Hollywood and photoshopped media and clothes stores forcefully tell us is plus-sized, but in their definition, this character is definitely plus-sized. She's also very comfortable and happy with who she is, so Hollywood and the photoshopped media and clothes stores can go eff themselves.
