I recall Alley Oop.
He was exiled as a punishment by the King when he was suddenly dislocated into our present day by the bearded doctor whose name I forget,Β
THUS began his modern adventures !

Didn't Alley Oop already HAVE a girlfriend?Β

Yep.
Her name is Ooola.
And she might just clobber Daisy Mae.

Ooola may need to clobber Abner instead.

very cool !!! to see Daisy Mae is still remembered. Is this where he
clubs her & drags her to his cave ? It's a refreshing slant on these
long ago comics.

Like how you've got Daisy Mae in her classic old ponytail. And Alley Oop is a great & much underrated old comic strip , well worth the read even today.

Awesome work on Daisy and on a more appealing Alley Oop.  Yes, indeed, look at that caveman go, WHOOO!  (My mom loves that "Alley Oop" song by the Hollywood Argyles  www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz6Ipm⦠)
I recently read an article about Al Capp and his life full of strugglesΒ reason.com/archives/2013/02/26β¦ , and I liked how he dared to draw sexy females like Daisy in the rather conservative funny papers back then. Β Nice crossover here.

For a time, Sadie Hawkins Day became an actual event at many schools in the US, not for marriage, but because the girls were to ask the guys out to dance instead (this was the mid-20th century, before liberation, so it was considered unusual).

Just read up on Alley Oop seems like it would be a great character to revisit for the modern audience.

Kind of the reason I asked for these characters, I felt bad for Daisy and I like Alley Oop.
The time-traveling caveman deserves a good date.
I am really glad with the way this came out.
