Gay pride parade? I thought he was going to Pensacola Beach on Memorial Day weekend, which is like Spring Break for gays. All the rainbow umbrellas come up on the beach. They spend money on hotels, restaurants, gas, and lots of other stuff. They have their parties which are actually kind of conservative (between liquor laws and noise ordinances, the parties don't go on till the wee hours of the morning). In general, the gays are a hell of a lot better behaved than the spring breakers and rioting high school students we often get here. And the letters page in the newspaper is full of people fulminating against them and their sinful lifestyles two or three months after they've left.
Also love the Looney Tunes action and the Grindafugger wood chipper.

Yeah, that was a last minute addition to the script. When I first wrote it all out, Judy just shows up pissed that Punch killed the kid. But when I started drawing it, Punch coming up with this ridiculous excuse for where the baby went off to just hit me, and seemed a great idea to put in there. I just didn't want to go so far as to offend anyone actually gay, and I hope I haven't done that. It's the excuse that's meant to be the joke, not the mention of homosexuality, after all!

I am most certainly a fan of the greatest animator to come out of Termite Terrace (only better than Tex Avery in that Avery did his best work at MGM and is too good to compare to Jones). I'm also a fan of John Kricfalusi and Ralph Bakshi if those animation influences show!
