Description
Well, it's a touch lazy this year, but it still looks fairly nice, I think. ^^ Here is this year's rendition of Rudolph, a bust this time since I do a bust shot every other year, and then a full body shot the year after. Last year was a full body shot, so this year is a bust.
I really liked how Rudolph looked in last year's drawing, so I decided to use the same design for Rudolph this year. I grabbed the colors from last year's drawing, I used the same markings, and the same shape for his antlers. I decided to try and change up the pose and show him looking at an angle sort of over the shoulder. I think it ended up looking pretty nice. ^^ The anatomy's not perfect, and I'm not sure that it looks as good as last year (and the antlers look a bit small), but I still think it looks nice.
I was kinda lazy with the shading this year. I still tried to make it look nice, but I seem to have plateaued a bit in terms of shading, I can't seem to figure out how to make it look better with the techniques I have now. I'm not entirely satisfied with the amount of light on Rudolph, I wasn't quite sure how much light looked right on him, but oh well. ^^
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone out there, I hope you have a really great holiday!
