Description James Hetfield of Metallica. Digital airbrush painting using GIMP.

I think this is the most realistic digital painting I've done so far. The chain was a bitch to do... I had to enlarge the whole painting like 2000% just to get it as detailed as I did.

WWOW... I have that program. maybe i shud take a crack at it. but how do i do this? it seems impossibl;e for me!

It took a lot of practice... and I do a LOT of blending with the smudge tool. There's probably an easier way to do it, you know, with a graphic tablet or something. But... this is how I learned, and I get better every time I do it.

u useed the mouse? or the tablet? cuz i tried the tablet, and ironically, it was easier to use the mouse! I hate the tablet! LOL
