I love this! He looks powerful and imposing without having to crank up the cartoon bulk. Not that I don't love cartoon bulk, but this is gorgeously stylish.

The problem is time..if I had more, I'd take a crack at it because I think itd be fun. Still, I dont get too much of a chance to do artwork that isnt paying anymore.
I have actually seen a few Black Cat pics in an Evo style around the net tho! Hope ya can find one you dig!

Man this is awesome! Cap did always look better without wings on his head. You shuld draw an IRON MAN with the same style!!!!

Oh God that'd be hard to animate o__o So..many..things to track...
I do like it though..Evolution had a kick-ass style, Steven Gordon is made of win. You did a nice job translating Cap'n into it :]

I honestly wasnt concerned whatsoever with whether or not that'd be possible to animate (this was done way before the Avengers direct to dvd flicks.), but on doing Ultimate Cap in the style of Steve Gordon / X-Men Evolution.
I dont have to animate it and for that matter, neither does anyone else, so I didn't see the need to limit the picture by making it something that'd be easy to animate.
That's what Captain America wears in the Ultimates, and thats what I wanted to do.
Youre right tho, Gordon rules all.

No, that wasnt me, although myself and the guy who did those used to post art at the same message board. I havent done any of that type of stuff in a while though, been too busy with hand drawn stuff. heh!

Excellent and starngely not to different to the Cap as seen in the new ultimate avengers cartoons. Maybe they saw your work?

Thanks, darth! I know the cap i made was based on Steve Gordons artwork, the guy who designed the X-Men evo cartoon and also did the same for the Avengers movies, so thats probably why they look so close.

I have only one problem with an otherwise perfect art.
Am I the only one who thinks that, Captain America, be he Ultimates, X-Men: Evolution, or Mainstream, is NOT Captain America, without the shield?

Captain America's shield is not JUST a shield. It's his trademark, like Batman has the bat-theme, and Superman has his S symbol.

Cool man I like it, Captain America kicks some major ass... his position and expression on his face is amazing... I'm really amazed at this work, good stuff... perhaps should've been a little bigger along with some nice matchin' background?
