Description
Meet Ami, a harpy that formerly served as a scout and messenger for the military.
On one of her message delivery missions, she was shot out of the sky with a bullet to the left wing and was sent plummeting towards the ground. Her left wing was damaged beyond recovery and had to be amputated.
Ami was discharged from hospital after a few weeks of recovered to health, but she spent whole years grounded and depressed.
One day, she found herself watching a team of pioneers testing out their newest flying machine. Average human beings finding their own way to take flight. It was at that moment when she made up her mind.
Ami is going to fly again.
Ami eventually got to work, piecing together her first prosthetic wing prototype, naming her project the Phoenix, she created various versions that were usually hit or miss.
With the teachings of pioneers passing by, and experience through trial and error, Ami designed, built and successfully test flown the final model, The Mk.XI, a full steel model with hydraulic control. It wasn't the same sensation as flying a long time ago, but at least she was ecstatic to be back in the air again.
Ami now works as a mechanic, fixing ever evolving aircraft and helping others to take to the skies.

Here's a quick story for you guys, the story of getting back up after getting knocked down. Little bit cliche'd...okay, maybe a little bit too cliche'd. But still, I hope you enjoy it.
Oddly enough this started off with the concept of an average harpy. The after some...personal experiences, this little inspiration story was created.
Apparently I somehow took inspiration for the wounded bird idea from the WWI messenger pigeon Cher Ami, though there is zero resemblance other than the messenger thing and the name Ami.

I might keep Ami in my roster of characters, probably for something other than Project: Warfare.
