Description
This is the Green Basilisk or Basiliscus plumifrons, he was at the baby Station at the Vivarium Reptile Exhibition. This little lizard is also known as the "Jesus Christ Lizard" (mainly in Costa Rica) because it is capable of running across water for short distances.It also is a very good swimmer and diver, able to stay under water for about 30 minutes. An adult green Basilisk can reach a length of 80 cm.

Fabulous!!!! My daughter manages an exotic pet shop here in Scotland and she knows all those beautiful creatures! She breeds snakes and lizards her home is like a menagerie!!! Cheers Vee

this is a small critique from the OOA. Its a good shot, you have captured the colors wonderfully and your focus keeps us from being distracted by the background. however, it appears to me that you should have aimed to have the head of the basilisk, as i assume that was the main focus of your composition, a little closer to the center. giving it more room to breathe, so to speak. that said it is a great picture. i wish that i could be of more help.
