"Come on, Steph!" "You know Leon will have our hides for this if we get caught!" "Yeah, well he's your brother so you should be allowed in there anyways!" "Kivin! I'm too young to be part of the Restoration Committee!" "Well Yuffi's a member isn't she?", Janie interrupted.
Steph was on the Bailey with a group of her friends, they were currently arguing about going into the Restoration Site, a place where only Committee Members were allowed. "Well Leon must have a reason for not letting us join." she said. She knew if the went into the Restoration Site and got caught her brother would kill them. "Well I don't care if we're Members or not I want to see what's in there!", Kivin whined. "Yeah, and if we split up we're less likely to get caught.", her other friend Ally said. "Okay, but we have to meet back here in half an hour, got it?" Steph said reluctantly. We are going to be in so much trouble she thought, but she was curious too and they would never get another chance like this. Leon was on the other side of town and half the other Members were sick so the chances of getting caught were minimal. "Okay!", Kivin and Janie said in union. Steph quickly looked around then ran for the passage that lead to the Restoration Site, it was probably going to be the biggest mistake in her life.

"I guess this is where we split up." Ally said. They had come to a hallway that branched off into four directions. "Okay, see you in half an hour!" Kivin called as he ran down the far right hall. "See you.", Janie said going to the far left. "Bye.", Ally took the inner left. Time to start exploring, I thought going down the remaining passageway. The passage twist and turned until Steph had no clue which way was out, suddenly the hallway opened up into a large circular room. "I guess this is a dead end." she said to herself. She turned around and heard a scraping noise. "Huh? Who's there?", she called, it was to dark to really see anything. See saw a pair of yellow eyes appear they seemed to come up from the ground. See stared at it, then looked around, all around the room there were yellow eyes rising up from the ground. The first pair of eyes came closer, she could just make out a small creature that seemed to be made completely out of darkness. Steph backed up terrified of the little shadow thing, till her back was pressed against the wall. She had no where to run now. The little shadow creature crouched then sprung at her, Steph just had time to throw her hands up in front of her and close her eyes before everything went black.
