i can’t believe it’s been 18 long years since we’ve seen that smile that could light up a room, since we’ve seen a futuristic music video that would shortly become a bop. along with your dance moves that made everyone who watched your music videos jealous. since we’ve seen you step out in your latest fashion look. you are truly one in a million, and you have inspired me to be the person i am today. i still remember my mother crying her eyes out when they announced your tragedy on the news that night & then me crying because i didn’t understand why my mom was crying .. your music helped me during the most darkest part of my life & i thought i was done for.. your music has always been there for me. not a day goes by that i’m not humming a tune in my head that was gracefully sung by your voice, in fact your music is the most played playlist in my phone. who knew we would be given a celebrity that was so beautiful .. so humble .. so generous .. so kind & intelligent, i wish we could have kept you longer than the 7 years in the entertainment business. so i made this fan art in your honor .. featuring some of my favorite music videos from the 3 different eras of yours (EXCLUDING the extremely iconic ‘Are You That Somebody’) on what would’ve been your 39th birthday today.. your legacy and music will continue to live on in the hearts of your fans , and hopefully one day i’ll be able to meet you up above, dinner is on me!
