I'm not in expert or anything but it seems the pose is set up to show off what some would call "natural assets". :/

But then, I'm a CG guy so I don't know much about posing for photography.

Ok.
That was just the impression I was given from the bulk of photos I've seen it used for. But as I said, I know little to nothing about posing for photography.
