Description
Corona Sol was Dr. Benjamin Alan's headquarters and base of operations within the Sol system during the Imperial Expansion Era. It was also the headquarters of the Alani family of technology companies which included Alani Spaceworks, Alani High Robotics, Alani Armaments and Alani Biopharmaceuticals. The Corona class of stations were the amongst the largest man-made space-faring constructions during the reign of the Earthain Empire and the six that were built were situated within key systems throughout the human-populated territories.

Corona Sol is just over twenty miles across, and sits in an incredibly hostile orbit over the sun. Its massive reactor powers an even more expansive shielding and electromagnetic generation array which creates a teardop shaped field around the station, protecting it from the suns radiation and cast-off. The station houses approximately fifty thousand workers, technicians and scientists, along with hundreds of civilians and prisoners for testing purposes. The various sections of the platform are listed below:
A: Living quarters and Primary Command Bridge
B: Upper shielding and Defensive arrays
C: Laboratory and Working Spaces
D: Main Hangar bays
E: Assembly, Prototyping and Construction Spaces
F: Shielding and Repulsion Arrays
G: Power Distribution and Control
H: Main Gravitational Torsion Reactor

Corona Sol contains space for the design, manufacture, construction and testing of spacecraft up to mid-super capital class, and numerous spaces for various other projects involving weaponry, advanced technology testing and human experimentation.

Due to its unique and highly dangerous orbit, getting to Corona Sol is impossible without the platform both rising to a higher orbit, and opening a controlled plasma channel for your ship to fly through. Vessels attempting to reach the station without assistance and permission will either be repulsed back into space by the sun's cast-off, or destroyed. While in higher orbits, the station is fully capable of defending itself from attack or infiltration through utilization of its heavy shields and weaponry arrays.

Corona Sol was home to Dr. Alan for most of the Imperial Era and Second Psychic war, and was a safe haven and refuge for him and his associates from persecution from Imperial authorities. During the years of rebellion leading up to the Second Psychic War, it became clear to the Empire that the Alani family was selling technologies to both the Felorian and Cave-Grove states, and Dr. Alan was labeled a traitor and criminal. However, even though the Imperial Bureau of Law Enforcement issued standing warrants for his arrest, he wasn't actively pursued due to the fact that he was also the main supplier for Imperial weapons and warships.
