Crescii here is staying at a friends house on her way home to give birth. The bed was a little small, but Hikki are used to most furniture being undersized. It is tradition for Venrock species to return to the land of their birth to bear children, and Hikki culture closely mirrors theirs. Crescii's husband traveled ahead of her to make preparations, she decided to work up until she was nearly due to get the most time off, and because she sincerely enjoys her job.

Crescii is a Painted Rosae Hikki and served as an Exospecies Ambassador to the Human Consortium of Systems after the Second Psychic War when she was younger, she still holds a diplomatic position but doesn't travel inter-system as she's starting a family. The Exospecies ambassadorial team was made up of a number of species from across Midden and formalized diplomatic and economic ties between the Middenian Worldcloud and the Human Consortium of Systems. While these ties were strictly via trade and diplomacy at first, after the Choruss conflict, military relations were formed and strengthened as the the organizations agreed to work together to explore and colonize the stars with a higher degree of safety for their people.

Issues such as the Choruss, Mondians and Imperial Loyalists were discussed, as well as the potent threat of the Waaritech and the ever growing Kurokuro Expanse. These universal threats would take massive amounts of cooperation between the powers of the Middenian and Human governments to overcome if they would hope to survive as space faring races.

Drawn because I haven't drawn a lot of my Hikki in a while, and wanted to tie Midden and Earth together in writing. Enjoy!
