Description Jampods are like the hatchbacks of today. They come in many makes and models and some are better than others. The Mark V is capable of sustained in-system flight, and can takeoff and land on a planetary body using an array of six electro-rockets mounted in its heat shield. The pod can carry two passengers and up to three tons of cargo, if you can fit that much in its small bay, and are equipped with inflation-bags for water landing. Hammocks can be slung in its cabin, and a small latrine provides for basic hygiene needs. Most jampods are unarmed, lightly armored and shielded, and in general are used by civilians to get around the solar system they inhabit.

The final model of this ship will be used in an upcoming series of illustrations, showing it being used by a pair of explorers.

I just used Sketchup's export tool, nothing too fancy since it's still a WiP.

This is way cool!

As always, your technical drawing is superb and the tiny details are always fun to locate and identify.

Now, if they come in Champagne, I'll take one.

Sweet little Ship.
Although it really looks like an escape pod... especially the water-landing Version.

But i'am curios about the trusters... Should they not also be shielded during the entrance phase?

The rockets on the heat-shield are going to have fold-out plugs in the final model, my dad mentioned the same thing XD
And the original Jampods were actually just that; refitted escape pods, hence the name: they'll get you out of a jam.

What a neat little ship, looks a bit like a lunakhod from the 60's mixed with elements from lost in space. Great design whatever the looks, first glance had me thinking it was some form of escape craft until I read the description that is.
