Yeah, but rarity was a unicorn and she didnt manage to save herself from falling out of Cloudsdale after her wings evaporated. I think Lukas doesn't really practice that kind of magic, he's an architect, not a wizard. Im sure he'll study it after thks event though lol

Maybe their mental state affects how well they can manipulate things with their magic. Also there's weight to consider and just how strong their magic is individually. Also, injuries. Maybe Aiden bucked him on the head so Lukas is too disoriented to try and slow his descent. I see your point but I'm sure it all depends on circumstance or something lol
