To get started just run up to a character and press space, Tails for instructions and Knuckles to start the game.

Ok. I've just managed to beat the game so heres my review.
The game is ok, but there are a few problems I had with it. The first was your jumps have to be procised just to get to certent areas. The bigger problem was Sonic was way to fast that he was almost uncontrolible.
In the older Sonic games, Sonic starts off slow but slowly starts to get up to his name sake speed as he gain momentum. The Sonic in this game however starts off at top speed, making it extremely hard to pull off those percised jumps. And when I finally did get the emeralds, I hated that if you messed up in the S.Sonic stage, you have to restart back at the biggining.
Overall I give this game a 6.5/10. Your friend has alot of talent, but there are still somethings that need to be improved on.

This is really addicting. After I played Super Sonic, I realized how fun the first level is! After that, I couldn't stop playing. Awesome work. I have a game in progress right now. It's no where near done, but I'll send you a link when it is.

I figured it out. You have to right click, then use fast forward then hit replay.

Awkward. You're encouraged to go incredibly fast, yet are punished for doing so by falling into the abyss every two seconds. If you look at the games (the earlier ones, that is), Sonic runs fast, but his acceleration is much slower and his top speed is more manageable.
Also, the level is zoomed too far out for the player to concentrate properly. A zoom of about 1.5-1.8 times what you currently have would work a lot better, making the level seem bigger by not showing so much of it at once as to overwhelm the player.
On a more positive note, The animation of the spinning-fire robot is very fluid, and the moving stairs are a very nice touch.
As for the mini-game, if I can suggest something, it would be too make the rings somewhat larger so that trying to shoot them was less fiddly.
Do encourage your friend to keep at it.

Oh, I know whatcha mean. Once I was playing SADX at, like, four o'clock in the morning, and I died, and, like threw the damn controller out the window. I had to connect the other one, and go search for the original later. How's that for a kick?

I asked my friend f he could make a sequal which would be more playable. He said he doesn't have the time. The only reason this was done cuz It was a school assignment and it was conpulsory.
but I might find somebody else who has a cool game and put it up.
BUt i do understand your frustration, it took bout 100 times to beat it. But it get's easy when yyou figure out what to do.
