I like it.

Looks like the "final picture of" they include
in the memorial portion of the exposé novel insert.

Oh, I figured.

I have the Paddingtons in my music library as well.
But I love all of Pete's work; solo, Babyshambles and The Libertines most of all.

i was lucky enough to see the libertines twice. you know Peter likes to be called Peter and not pete! he played an acoustic gig in town in march, but i couldn't go. i have met Adam Ficek from babyshambles as Roses Kings Castles and taken photos of him. he's lovely! But Grant of the Paddingtons is a good friend of mine

Very cool how you have such connections with all those guys. I wish I had ins with bands like the ones they are all in. That would be amazing on so many levels. You are lucky.

well, yes i am lucky, aren't i? i am also a little surprised as to how this all happened in the first place, but very lucky. yes. thank you!

Would you mind sharing how that was? lol

jazzylemonade In reply to brunomaric [2009-05-15 15:29:57 +0000 UTC]

well i'm not sure exactly. i met someone who put gigs on and i went along with my camera and by the next week he came up to me and said EVERYONE is talking about your photos! they've never seen gig photos like that! and the next week i did a festival of 12 bands and i became the official photographer for 11 of them straight away when they got the photos. and one thing led to another and i met more and more people. instead of going to gigs a couple days a week i was going nearly every day. and the more i go to the more people i meet. girls ask me how i know all the guys in the bands, and want to hang out with me so they can meet them. sometimes the bands say Jazzy Lemon in the house! or give us a shout out from on stage. the indie kids all know me and yell at me from across the street and run after my train

oh, wow. not gonna lie -- that's actually very fucking awesome. mad props to you. you're almost kind of a celebrity back there in the UK, eh? hahah. i'm gonna tell you, too, that i really did start getting into british bands when i first started listening to the libertines, so on and so forth. i get music every week it seems from up and coming or already known UK indie bands. got any sweet recommendations? you seem like you'd know a thing or two!

The feeling in this portrait is great - I love that it's raw and grainy. It definitely adds to the appeal of the black & white.. love it.
