The coloring is very nice ^^
I can't believe you did all of this on one layer O.o That's, like, artist torture, seriously.
Okay, so basically, everything wants to be on its own layer. If you were to do this picture again with layers, the hair might be on its own layer. Then the shirt on another, same with the bottoms, and you would even consider doing two layers for the purple and black. Lastly, the misc. things, like the bandages, maybe the shines. The bg looked like torture o.O. I would have to say the butterflies on one, the grass on another, the sky on one, and maybe a seperate one for clouds. Trust me, it'll be much easier!
By the way, what tool did you use for the shadings?

It's easy, just click on the "New Layer" button everytime you want a new layer ^^

Ha, thanks. I really appreciate that. I just don't know how i would explain how to use layers, it's something i learned on my own.
And i don't us PS, lol, i use Corel Painter. xD But Layers is a concept in almost all digital art programs, save some oekakis'.
But, honestly, in your opinion, what type of things do people need the most help in? Like, so if i do make a tutorial it would help more.

Well, I'd say people would want to know how to arrange their layers, where what button for this layer is, duplicate, name them (eg, skin, hair, eyes), etc. I'm no expert but that was from what I've learned from several tuts.

Well it's up to you really. That's all right if you choose not to do one.

I suppose I'm more of a 'show-me-that-in-person'.
Being aspergic I prefer to do things practically instead of
simply being 'told', in other words I have to actually 'see' it done
before I get the idea of what I have to do.

O_o have you always been operating on one layer? ouch.
usual construction is: background on the bottom layer. lineart on the top layer (with NOTHING but lineart on that layer, no white filler) and colours in betweeeeen ~ this way your colours wont ever touch your lineart
you can select the areas you want to fill on your lineart layer with the magic wand tool, and once you have selections, alt+backspace to fill in your colour on a separate colour layer.
i like to have one layer per colour, and when you're ready to shade, lock the layer so you cant colour outside of it. =]
sorry it's not a proper tutorial.. lol thats just how i do it

It does take a while to learn but the principles are actually simple.
I suggest you study and test out various parts of photoshop, with the help of tutorials here on DA, and shortly you'll be creating beautiful works too.
