Issue #1 of Pinkie Pies journey from home to Living at Sugar Cube Corner. It's also a way for me to practice many, many things I have never done before.

Basically, I don't draw much more than stick men, I've never drawn a comic, I've never inked a drawing, I haven't used photoshop since 2004 in high school and I don't really write dialogue. Like I said, a way to practice. My goal is to see what I can achieve before needing to seek out a second job.

Anyway. I like to learn about old ways of thinking. One of which is that Alchemists believed base metals were purified by the sun and became gold and silver. They also believed gold grew like roots in the earth. If a rock farm is means of making money, than this is how they were doing it.

My goal on this was to get something down and posted. I spent way to much time redoing and tracing my work and messing with scanners. My next goal is to work on drawing better young ponies and facial expressions. Also backgrounds with perspective. Shading and dynamic layouts will come later.

Side Note. If there are already popular names for the Pie family let me know. I was thinking of naming her sisters Sherrie and Roxanne.
Edit: Thank you for your comments regarding the Pie family's names. I have decided to go with Clyde, Isabelle, Roxanne and Sherrie. Although I enjoy the names Inky and Blinky, I will continue with the names I've selected.
