Fighter – e.g. Amber (on the right) – A Femme whose Essence primarily enhances her skills in physical combat. Greatly enhanced strength, speed and reflexes. Fighters make up the vast majority of Femmes at Haven. They are almost always tall, slender and athletic. Fighters can very briefly channel their Essence to perform gravity-defying leaps and super-charged attacks, but generally only once per encounter. Doing so leaves them drained and weakened.

Caster – e.g. Jessica (me, on the left) – Casters, sometimes called Witches, have much stronger Essence than Fighters, and can actual control and project it. Unfortunately, Casters are no longer encouraged to train offensive magic. Instead, we are expected only to act in support of Fighters. Our roll is generally to provide mending and shielding, and to use our ample reserves of Essence to restore that of Fighters. We’re expected to devote great attention to our diet and our sexual activity so as to optimize the strength and purity of our Essence. Strenuous exercise is generally avoided, as it is considered damaging to Essence generation.

In Haven’s current power structure, Casters are considered inferior to Fighters. But it wasn’t always that way. And now that I’m here, things are going to change…
