Description
Testing out some markers and playing with designs for what Aeskhari looks like when he's still little dragon. Also his sweet sword and background story.Countless nights of being tormented by his fear of the dark and countless nightmares and visions of horrifying monsters plaguing his dreams Aeskhari resolves to himself that he must finally overcome his fears. But when the darkness becomes more then just a phobia but real monsters then threaten his world Aeskhari must look deep within himself and find the courage and inner strength to fight the coming flood of darkness. His inner strength manifests itself as a 2 handed hard light greatsword he calls the Dawn Breaker. Despite being a child he can easily swing the massive sword since it is not made from steel but from his manifested strength. He's found his strength to face his fears but will it be enough?

Nah that's just a personal taste thing. I think with a diffrent picture it will be better

Weirdly enough my old incarnations of Aesk was actually a creepy child that wanted revenge on the towns people who hated him and his mother. But creepy kids are such a eye rolling cliche to me now so that was changed.
Ahh okay. I am currently experimenting with markers so it's different then what I usually do. You're not the first person to be confused by the background so I'll try something new in the future.

Thank you! I was trying to make it look like there was hope just off screen and he was trying to reach it. trying to work with more dynamic lighting and shadows.

Oh yes watercolors are quite nice! But they require special paper and pencils. I feel like markers achieve fuller color more quickly than WC pencils.
