Description
This is a creature I named pudgy, made in 3ds Max 6. It took around six hours to make. It is one of my favorite 3d pictures, and I have won an honorable mention in an art competition using him. There is also a print available for Pudgy here: [link]Related content

Wow, I thought this was a clay piece from the thumbnail and was thinking if you ahd the patience it would make a great claymation piece, but 3D works too. I like the deifferent colored eyes and simple form. The Gumby-like green is always a prime color choice for a creature like this.

hmm...i doubt i would have the patients to make a clay creature like him....but maybe...lol. thanks! yeah, that colour green is common i guess...that is kinda what i was thinking would work best for him.

glad you liked it. Yeah, I suppose I could do some stuff to him in photoshop. I think 3ds max is awsome! but it does take time to learn, and has a lot in it. thanks for the input!

You realy need to add Smooth or Mesh smooth to it, then it looked even better!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I already put mesh smooth on him...because he was really sharp on the edges. When I made the level any higher, he started to loose his features, and regular shape. I think I'm going to work on smoothing him out by hand. Thanks a lot for your input!

Thanks! Actually, the lighting was very easy. the light i used was skylight, and i turned on the advanced lighting thing. It adds extra shadows and reflections and stuff...it adds a realistic look to things.

Yeah, it has that effect. It's really good. Maya is great too, but a bit difficult to go around. Anyways, nice meeting you!
