This piece pays great to a wonderful game, not to mention, a memorable character. Hhmm? Oh you thought I was talking about Link? Nope, It's the Great Deku Tree.
The mere size comparison between Link and the Great Tree is jaw-dropping.
Though it is sad to watch the great tree pass away, but it is Great to see that he will remembered.

Specific Zelda trappings and game folklore aside, the subtle yet powerful contrast between the archetype of the young warrior, and the wisdom of a mighty tree within an ancient forest, is beautifully portrayed in this piece. The use of muted greens and warm yellow highlights give it a living quality that soft lighting often does with traditional oil paintings - one that is often ignored in favor of hyper-realism in the digital medium. And with this subject matter, it's refreshing to not only see the subtler approach taken, but in a manner that doesn't take too far away from the whimsy of the original games. Great job!

I love the scene here, the ethereal atmosphere of the entire thing.
The humanoid elements of The Deku Tree are done really well. You can only just distinguish it.

Holy, epic-ally magnificent! The Enchanting Deku Tree looks stunning and Link looks incredible! The design, stump, roots, expression, beard, entrance, terrain, forest, grass, plant life, sunlight, sky, hues, clothing, sword, shield, pose, fairies, shiny glimmer, perspective, atmosphere, textures, concept, composition, uniqueness, lighting, colors, style, and other details are also wonderful!
