As I said before, I’m going to be working through my rebooted Forever 16 stories from the beginning, without jumping around in the timeline. It starts with just Joel and Aaron as the main characters; Steve, Michelle, Kendra, and Jocelyn are going to be introduced a little later on. But I just can’t go that long without drawing them, and I know you guys wouldn’t want to go that long without seeing them. So rest assured, they’ll still show up regularly in my non-comic deviations.Once again, Steve and Jocelyn hit the pool with their clothes on. Yes, they know it’s weird, but that’s okay, they like weird.

I've decided if I ever want to market Forever 16 to a publisher, making it look like a comic strip that already ceased publication is a really bad idea. It's awkward and confusing and not a lot of people understand it. (Honestly, I'm not even sure why I did it that way.) So I'm doing it as short stories instead, which I can collect together in books. And I'm starting from 1990 and progressing straight through the decade, instead of jumping all over the place like I used to.
But the characters and their adventures are going to stay pretty much the same. Further down the line, I actually intend to take many of the comic strips I've drawn and expand them into short stories. So don't worry, Joel and Michelle and all them are going to stay pretty much the same as they always have.
