Description
The "Maxwell Silver Hammer" character design refinement continues! I recently practiced my face-front poses with these four sketches of some of the girls of Walter Mondale Senior High. Among the things I kept in mind:

- Michelle's eyes were originally kind of small and not very expressive. I made them bigger, but retained their Asian appearance (for reference, I studied frames from Disney's Mulan; that seemed to help).
- As I showed in my previous drawing, Abby has facial features that are a little larger than the other girls. I made her ears stick out a bit more from this angle. I also made her eyelashes point inward instead of outward, to constantly give her eyes that downtrodden look.
- To accentuate Jocelyn's tough personality, I changed the shape of her eyes to something more square, so that it looks like she's always got her brow furrowed. I can still loosen it up for those rare moments when she gets sentimental.
- For Ashleigh, who's energetic and very chatty, the first thing that came to mind was that I wanted her to subtly resemble a squirrel. So I enlarged her eyes and gave her a very tiny mouth, which I think not only creates that visual parallel but also makes her a bit cuter.
