Description
After submitting "Pokémon Goes Pietrzak", I started analyzing it like the artist I am, and I came to two conclusions:1. Ash, Dawn, and Brock are all really off-model
2. My background skills stink
To at least rectify the first part, I did another drawing of the three of them underwater in typical "opening sequence"-style poses, and they turned out a lot better this time for some reason. I liked it enough to give it a background, but I didn't want to spoil it with a mediocre one, so I found this photo through Google and stuck 'em together. It's wallpaper sized, so feel free to download it and use it on your desktop if you want (just be sure to credit me for the art). Enjoy!

The hair is definately more boyant here, and seems to have some flow. If there were things to change though, I think it would serve the peice a bit better with some more variety in the poses. It looks a bit much like they're 'standing' which I would think is very difficult to do underwater, and would make the picture seem a bit more active.
As well, I wonder of the effects the water would have on clothing. Particularly, I imagine Brock's vest to be similarly effected by pockets of air and the general flow of the water, the back of the vest in particular acting as a tarp. of course I think Ash's vest woudl be a bit void of this since it's secured around his torso. Correct me if I'm wrong, however.

Yeah, about the "standing" thing...originally, I was going to draw them with ankle weights on, but I decided against it for some reason. Then the photo I used didn't have a discernible ocean floor, so it made it even less realistic, and I eventually decided that they're just floating there with their legs straightened, which doesn't really work the way I intended, but that's the way it goes...
As for the clothing, I tried to mix my style with the actual style of the "Pokémon" anime, and in the show's underwater sequences, characters' clothes don't move much. I probably should amend that in the future, not only to add more realism, but to adapt it more to my style.
