Here's another icon featuring Arle. She usually has to put up with a whole lotta wacky stuff (Schezo's "accidental" pervertedness, Rulue's blind jealousy, Dark Prince's obsessive infatuation for her, and so forth), which leads to this facial expression most of the time. Being the subject of some convoluted love triangle was obviously not her intention, but that's what happens when you're a cute magical girl! Anyways, I hope you all enjoy using it!Arle is owned by SEGA/Sonic Team

Ah yes, I remember; but I wish they did the crossover on a proper console/handheld game rather than a phone game... Would've been the perfect time to reintroduce Puyo Pop to America! Well, at least they included Puyo Puyo 2 in Sega 3D Classics on 3DS.

Yep, Bayonetta. Sounds completely out of nowhere (especially since I didn't see ANYONE talk about voting for Bayonetta), though they did say she was the top picked "realizable character" in the U.S. and was the top vote in Europe. If you ask me, too many morons were voting for Shrek, Freddy Fazbear, and Steve from Minecraft. Granted, I don't hate Bayonetta, but I spent a lot of time choosing which characters to vote for and writing why they should get in. If anything, I would've preferred having Solid Snake return as the M-rated character, but that's Brawl nostalgia talking there.
I actually am quite surprised it wasn't Shantae or Shovel Knight; even though I personally did not want them in, they had LOADS of support, so I was bracing myself for either one of them if my choices didn't make the cut. I'm pretty sure their fans are upset about the results too.
I won't be surprised if Nintendo doesn't start a character ballot for the next game (or they'll probably keep it Japan exclusive; since the Internet on our side of the world kinda f'ed it up); they gave us a chance to be serious on who we wanted to get in, and apparently not enough people took it seriously...

Hey guys, Arle just found a reason to ask "Seriously?" Turns out CLOUD STRIFE from Final Fantasy 7 is going to be a playable character in Smash 4 ! Seriously, if not for Arle's bigger prominence in Japan...

Rumors say he wasn't a Smash Ballot choice, so Arle still has a chance! Plus, I don't think there will be only one winner from the Smash Ballot...
People have been kinda mixed about Cloud's inclusion. Some say its awesome that Final Fantasy is getting some reputation, while others point out that Square pretty much abandoned Nintendo with FF7 and onwards... With some saying Sora from Kingdom Hearts would be a much better choice.
As long as he wasn't one of the characters chosen from Smash Ballot nominees, I have no problem with Cloud being in SSB4.

Well, you have a point there. Overall, just hope Cloud was pre-ballot, so we can get to the characters who were (possibly) ACTUALLY requested as DLC for Smash 4. Arle mostly has that going for her in Japan than anywhere else, so I guess we'll just have to see how Sakurai decides to handle THAT little issue...

Well, after 25 years (27, if you count the Madou Monogatari games) it looks like Arle has no problem powering through it all. Give this girl some credit, ya'll.

Heaven knows she deserves it. Speaking of which, I've wondered quite some time ago, does Arle have ANY hobbies or (to a MUCH lesser extent) a "personality" if you understand what I mean there, outside of Puyo battles, and making curry? Sometimes, it really feels like Amitie and Ringo have more "development" than her, and as a result, Arle's just...there.

Well, Arle is a retro character, and retro characters don't seem to develop much or have much personality to begin with.
Also, I could say Arle is heroic, easygoing, and cheerful.

Well, we dunno much of, well, everyone and everything outside the Puyo battles,
but there's a couple of things we already can establish. Arle, in her universe,
while she didn't go crazy over how the situation was for her, she was far more cynical
and snarky, and to be honest, she wasn't that above everyone else in terms of sanity
(although she IS saner than everyone). She was also kind of mean-spirited.
Once she got onto the Fever dimension, however, she mellowed out exponentially,
turning into today's Arle. It's also to take notice that in the Fever era, everyone holds
some respect for Arle, and vice-versa, whilst the Madou era, everybody was...well, jerks.
Could it be that after finding a friend in Amitie or all of Fever universe, she finally let go of her
cynical and mean-spirited attitude? Well...I think the games seem to know the answer.
tl;dr version: Arle is happier in the Fever universe because she has real friends there.

I have to say, looking at it now, the Madou-era cast were quite the jerks. Satan/Dark Prince was/is TOO obsessed with Arle and Carbuncle for my liking, Schezo hasn't really gotten any farther on his plans to steal Arle's powers for his own, and while I understand that for the sake of the story, Arle has to win, MAN, has that shtick gotten OLD. Rulue DEFINITELY isn't any better, what with her being insanely obsessed with Satan, and attacking Arle whenever he comes up in conversation, even Arle's told her time and time again, she's not into him. Also, with her bragging about how beautiful she is, which I'll admit, in Madou Monogatari ARS, she was pretty good looking IMO. The same can also said for Draco Centauros, who, due to the whole beauty thing, seems to be getting more and more dim-witted in each game. I'll admit, Draco has taken a more cuter appearance as of Puyo Puyo 7 and 20th Anniversary, but sadly, starting with those games, (or MAYBE Puyo Puyo~n) she started to get less and less smart, even confusing a Puyo match for a beauty contest in 20th, no less. I read somewhere the Madou-era games, or specifically, the first game and Y~on, claim she has a small inferiority complex, so maybe that's it? Witch can be a bit mean-spirited at times, but it's mostly to find some new recipes for her spells. Suketadora, Skeleton T., Panotty, Kikimora, and even Lagnus, all have some sort of jerkiness, that causes Arle to get into unintentional fights with them, though out those I just mentioned, Suketadora, seems to have mellowed out around Arle these days. Skeleton T.'s "tea" gimmick is REALLY running its course, ESPECIALLY in Puyo Puyo 7. Panotty's flute-playing gets annoying when he realizes no one's dancing to his music, and goes on a non-justifed tantrum, and Kikimora's "clean freak" tendencies can be pretty irritating at times. Lagnus honestly seems like nothing more than a joke for Puyo Puyo these days, and he wasn't properly introduced to the series all that well, IMO. All in all, the Fever cast, and Modern cast (Ringo, Maguro, and Risukuma, even though the latter two have NEVER been seen interacting with Arle in any way so far.) have been more friendly to Arle than the Madou-era cast has been for all these years. For all we know, Arle finally finding a true friend in Amitie and later, Ringo, finally let her loosen up more compared to the Madou-era. I've even noticed it myself that Arle seems more cheerful and carefree compared to the Madou-verse, where almost EVERYONE did something annoying enough to get on her bad side.

I can agree on certain points. While they were jerks to Arle,
when they entered on the Fever dimension, they mellowed out
as well. Not so much to the extent of Arle herself, but still quite a bit.
The only possible inversion is Satan/Dark Prince, though.
Did they end up realizing how terrible their actions were when Arle
was whisked away?

That's why I said they didn't change to the extent of Arle in the previous comment.
I can only guess that after a certain while, the Madou characters noticed Arle's
absence, so they may have did a search party of sorts, and eventually jumped dimensions.
That being the short and sweet version.

Anyway, the cast seem to be somewhat resentful of their actions, at least mid-15th Anniversary.

Oh my gosh, is anyone around here a fanfic writer? This HAS to be a story! Everyone from the Madou-verse begins to realize Arle and Carbuncle have gone missing for at least 2-3 years, and all of them start to fear the worst has happened. One by one, they'd all reminisce their time with her, and together make an agreement to look for her,.
