I wound up getting pretty dang sick this week, and let me tell you that is no picnic! Still, like most everyone I happened to see the announcement for Pokemon Sword & Shield, and I must say it looks VERY cool! Although I also ended up discovering that on the same day of the reveal, people were already lewding the girl Trainer. Yeah I know that's no surprise at this point (especially for Pokemon), but damn, can ya at least learn her name first?! Granted, it's not on the same scale as "the cancer we do not speak of", but that doesn't make it any less creepier...! Normally I'd wait for Nintendo to reveal the official artwork before I try to draw a character I haven't attempted before, but since the joke would lose it's effect if I waited too long, I went solely by observation here for our two new Trainers (albeit it with exaggerated faces).

As for why Team Rocket's Meowth is there... Well, I needed to fill in that space somehow; and I wanted to make a joke regarding the anime. Having Grookey say it wouldn't be as effective, so I do apologize for its exclusion from this picture. Speaking of which, I'm still deciding between Sobble and Scorbunny, but I'm likely going to go with the former.

Anyways, this certainly isn't the traditional way to express one's excitement for an upcoming game; I'll have to draw these two again normally in the future. Until then, I hope y'all like this!

One-word comments are worse than no comment at all; if you decide to say something, at least form a sentence longer than three words. If you can't be bothered to provide valuable feedback, I won't bother to reply.
