Surprise, surprise; I actually finished two drawings over the weekend! Felt since it's been so long, I might as well do two pieces of art to make up for the lost time...! Anyways, this one is a new wallpaper for the poster girl of my content, Airashi Furuya ! It's a proper redraw of her wearing the Suzuran school uniform from Puyo Puyo 7, but during her present day age (so basically a redo of this doodle , which in of itself is a redraw of the first drawing of Airashi I've done ). Airashi's based on the Super Mario series though (as I'm sure has been made abundantly clear by now), so she technically would not have gone to Suzuran Junior High. WHen I first drew her, I also was just getting into the Puyo Puyo series, so it pretty much rubbed off on me when initially designing Airashi. But hey, even so, she does look very nice in it, wouldn't you say? Of course this one is obviously custom made to fit her... Current size...

For the background I wanted to evoke something similar to the vibe Puyo Puyo 7 had going on with the flower motif, while using the pink colors to highlight Airashi's cuteness. The glow effects give it a soft appeal that only serves to enhance it even more I feel (that is, provided it's not too dang bright for mobile phones; I'll find out soon enough). I WOULD use an updated version of the Super Mario JBX logo, but that's gonna take more time to do... At any rate, I really hope you guys like it!
