Thanks! I appreciate the comment and the critique, I agree the mountain could use some more depth!

It always impresses me when people can create near-photographic realism with large, loose strokes... ok, well to start, this is a very well composed piece with a strong diagonal in the river echoed by the mountains in the back. The colors are vibrant and realistic... I'm not 100% sure what lighting you were going for, evening or morning, but I get the sense of looking at mountains to the east as the sun goes down. I think the architecture is very interesting, and the perspectives are spot on. You got the textures of the wood and metal right, which is key to making it believable. And because that is the main focus point, I don't at all mind that the background is looser... because we normally go through life seeing one thing in focus and the rest slightly fuzzy. The woods on the left are really interesting, especially since they contrast the mountains in color, though replicate them a little bit in shape... everything is pointing to the sky. The only thing I would think about is perhaps allowing for more sky be moving the horizon line lower... it isn't centered, but it is close right now, and thought it doesn't really detract from the piece, which is beautiful, I would just keep that in mind when making these... though you do exhibit a knowledge of the Golden Corners idea, whether intentional or not.
Great piece! Good, dramatic lighting. What a charmer. Great mood. As some others mentioned, it does look very tranquil... I can just here the low calls of birds and the croaks of frogs... not even much of a breeze... just peaceful. Again, very nice. Keep it up!

Ah, to be the artist and see all the "mistakes". I am glad to stand on the other side this time and just be able to appreciate the piece.
As to being too kind, I've never found it to be helpful to be rude to someone for something they created... it discourages them from creating and from reaching out for opinions again. Also, since I don't really know you, your development, and where you are trying to go, it is harder to be truly helpful with what I say, because as a viewer, I think this piece is great, but for you it could be a relatively quick piece that you don't feel was very successful. I just don't know.

Love this piece.
It's a kind of hunting lodge lost in the moutain.
Peace and retired as I like when I do mountain tours.
By the way.
I would like to know if I can have the permission to use it for a fan project.
With a friend we created an adventure for our groups of players based on the card game system called Pathfinder Adventure Card game (from Paizo Publishing). And we are searching for illustrations for our cards.
This adventure is gonna be share with the community of players and that's all. It's a nonprofit project, just the pleasure to share our fan work.
thank you in advance for your answer (positive or negative)
Kind regards,
Ludwig.

The light is beautiful! But that looks like a bad place for a hut. That stream looks like it's flooding up into the grass, (because there's no definition of the bank) and it kind of looks like there's a spot on the other side of the hut where the ground is lower than the stream.
