Description

Ok I know its not that complete, since I didn't go the extra mile and make the entire body, but this took a lot longer to make than expected. Yeah I know, I've already made that excuse before, but NYCC is only a week from today and Canti's head (along with another project I've been working on for the whole FLCL cosplay smorgasbord) took up almost every ounce of free time I could spare (and thats saying something). Basically I just had a hard time figuring out what I was going to use for the screen-face. First I ordered a sheet of dark blue plastic and for like $15 you would probably expect some kind of decent quality...but no, this was like the cheapest, most fragile and flimsy material I've ever used for anything. So for my second choice, I went with the big guns, and by that, I mean plexiglass. Surprisingly, its a lot cheaper than that crappy plastic, but I still needed to see if my dremel could cut through it or not because its the only tool I could think of that could slice through that type of material. Turns out I was missing a piece that secures the rounded blade head, which is why I never used it until now, and thankfully I wasn't killed while cutting through the plexiglass. Although, it did leave behind a lot of shards and dust particles, so always use safety glasses and a respirator kids.
