I love the sort of glaring colors, and that part of the tree that's a little blurry.
I'm very seriously thinking about getting myself a Holga (rather, am-definately-getting-one-but-trying-to-muster-the-courage-to-splurge), and I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me what all this "fujichrome astia 100," "cross processed" stuff is. I've looked at a few other great Holga shots and the artists wrote similar things.
When I get myself a Holga, I'd like my pictures to look just as great!

i think you should get one, even just for the fun of it because a holga camera is really cheap.
fujichrome astia 100 is a slide film, it's not your normal film that you can just buy at any photo shop.
cross processed, is where you process a slide film (i.e. fujichrome astia 100) in normal chemicals. because in order for a slide film to be developed properly you have to use different chemicals (e-6 chemicals) which only special photo labs does, in this cross processing you get different out-of-this-world colors even without photoshop.

I'm definately, definately getting a Holga. But in Japan a starter kit costs over 9200yen, which is over $84. I'm looking all over the net for one even a few yen cheaper, but all of them cost the same.

here in the philippines there are holga cameras available at the low-end camera shops, it costs like half the price from the lomography.com website but without the fancy packaging and the holga book, it's just a box with a manual that comes with it. i recommend that if you have the spare money get the one from the lomography.com website because the holga book can teach you a lot of syles and the pictures really inspires you to shoot more.
i think there are cheap holgas available in ebay however it has no warranty though..

Oh man everything is SO expensive in Japan. I know it's because they're imported, but it seems like everything I want is too expensive for me! It's pretty frustrating, but I've decided that I'm not going to let that keep me away from getting a Holga (and a Lomo Super Sampler). Not forever, anyway.
