Okay, so here’s the low-down, I’ve got something to say, time for you to listen.
This isn’t about hatred, it’s about something totally opposite.

Now first I have a story.
It’s about a cook who could never just find the right spice to complete his meal,
But when he’d found it, he knew it was fate.
This spice was what he’d been looking for all along,
After so many trails, and so many errors.
The cook was finally happy, and was able to make the perfect dish.

I can relate completely to that cook.
My life is good, full of moments to cherish,
But it’s missing that spice, the cook took so long to discover.
The cook would have never given up on what could complete his dish.
So why would I give up on you.

I should have known it would end up this way.
The first time we hung out, I knew you would be different.
You would never treat me like crap, call me a stupid bitch.
Walk all over me like I the ground upon which your feet step.
I could see, that if I were to let you in, I would become extremely happy.
Right now that’s what I’m hiding behind, doubtful for some time to tell you the truth.
Cause I’m afraid, that for once I’ll be happy.
I’m not sure if you’ll understand my thoughts or feelings, but knowing you, you will.

I don’t know what I want us to be, or what you want.
But I do know that I like you.
It needs to be put out there, cause I can’t handle keeping it in.
So just let me know, will you be that spice that competes my dish?
