I think in overall speed and power the Viper has the Corvette beat (V-10 vs V-8... not much to compare), but the front is SO long that it's handling is terrible. The one thing that is always interesting to see is in the mid-range because the Vette has less weight to pull.
Now if we could only find a way to put a Viper engine in a Corvette

Yeah, these cars were very closely matched in terms of weight and horsepower. The majority of the day was spent driving them and testing them on a race track, and I was just along for the ride. That being said, the driver who tested both of the cars, said both cars were impressive.

Can you give an approximated speed?

I shot these two at Autobahn Country Club, which is a private race track in Chicago, Illinois. We tested them on a normal track day, so there were 8 or 9 heats throughout the day, with a little break for lunch. We had about 10 minutes for the on-track shots and we were not allowed to exceed 20 miles per hour. It really sucked and made for some pretty crappy pics. Ideally, I would have like 50 or 60 mph. The pics just dont have the sense of motion that I wanted.

Why is there a limit on the speed of the cars in the shots you take? (If you don't mind my asking)

That's pretty cool, which car won? I personally prefer the Viper, over the Corvette. I think Corvette's are faster, but the Viper has far superior handling. That is secondhand info, so please correct me if i am wrong.

Yeah, that's why the Katech is aftermarket-tuned while the SRT-10 ACR is still in-house...

yeah well having driven the new viper... non acr version I much rather have a vette, the viper as fun and raw as it is has a cramped interior, freaking hot as hell exhausts which eventually turn the interior into an oven and the ac cant over power. Looks wise though I dig the viper.
