*** Largest Size Recommended ***This is a long overdue manip for *Sabriel-TS . I'm so sorry this took so long! This is dedicated both to you and Mach.
For those who don't know, Sab's horse, Macho, passed away a couple months ago. I know I've said it before and it's been a little while since it happened, but I'm very sorry for your loss.
Anyways, originally I was only going to feature Mach in this, but while I was browsing for a good picture to use I saw some good pictures of Opie and this idea popped into my head. Opie is the bay, living horse. Mach is the spirit in the clouds. It's open to interpretation but the general idea is that the two horses are running together, but in two separate worlds (slight Fringe reference there for you, Sab!).
Opie's mane and tail took me forever. But I'm fairly happy with how they turned out. Not 100% happy but happy enough that I think they look pretty decent. I feel the same way about Mach's hair, but his didn't take nearly as long.
The shadow is crap, but it's there. There isn't much of a light source so I figured it would be faint, but I didn't know where to put it. I like the hoof prints, but I don't like how I arranged them.

the pic is amazing, when i saw it on my inbox i KNEW it was great. the tones are so well matched, the pose is gorgeous... the ghost horse is very well done, i didn't notice it at first, and when i did, i loved it! 
the shadow is well done (good decision, making it blurry and undefined) and well placed too, but i think it woudln't hurt if you made the parts around the hooves (where the feet touch the ground) a little darker, then quickly fading to nothingness. 
i agree with you about the hoofprints. they are incredibly well done (honnest, it beats me!

second, the spacing between them. your prints seems to belong to a very collected, olympic level canter, while that crazy long legged horse is running at nearly full speed, with probably a long "flying" (suspension) moment, so that the first hind leg will land FAR ahead from where the last front leg took off. in that case, the hoofprints would look like the pattern i've (attempted) to show above, with relativelly evenly spaced prints, then a long gap, then the same pattern again. 
either way, this is an instant fave!

I like the idea a lot, and the song<3 Lady A rocks. YAY fringe reference! And a good one at that.
I like Opies tail, and Mach's mane. Opie's mane is good too, but it's a bit skimpy, he has a fairly nice lucious mane you know xD not it looks good, not quite him but good. Mach's tail looks a bit funny to me, but I think It's mostly because it's white, and secondly because he's running, and he wasn't really one for running xD but more whispies could help you there ;]
As to your shadow, -sigh- at least it's there. It's very hard to tell with the waves, but I think it's coming from the right side of the image a little bit from the back. Good job with the prints. I agree on the positioning thoguh, it's not quite right, but I don;t know where they should go! I should study that next ;]

I was thinking about that when I picked the song. I know you like country, and I couldn't remember if you had outright mentioned that you like Lady A, but I assumed you did because... well who doesn't!?
That makes sense, Arabs do have nice manes like that. I fail at them, I'm too used to Appy manes.

hehe yeah I'm thinking you went all appy on my boys, poor things thoguh when we got him Doo had a fairly skimpy little tail... Now that i look at it... xD yeah the tail is a little poofy, but that's better than skimpy, Opie would be offended! I think the tail is funny cause there's no tail bone in it! it's much to flowwy which would be pretty, were it not an arabian that likes to stick his tail up when he runs xD Opie's looks fairly Arabianish with how it sticks out then flows down, mach's just flows which is why it's funny! And for the mane, maybe it's not enough shadows? so there's not enough depth? I dunno that's the only difference I see between the top and bottom of the mane.
haha i know that feeling. They just look so good but they aren't exactly right. straight and perfect its right. I think it's the concept of running, and that actual hoofprints in the sand froma running horse would look completely messed sense sand would be flying eveywhere, that screws us up. cause we want them to look perfect, but really they shouldn't.

I would have redone the tail and made it less poofy, but I liked the detail and wasn't sure if I could recreate it so I left it. Hehe, tail bone! I didn't even think of that! I never do! I think you just improved my future tails by pointing that out. 
Dang it! I actually meant to put in flying dust but totally forgot until just now. Stupid, stupid me! I remembered the shadow but forgot something else. Ugh!

gah i hate it when that happens, it's impossible to duplicate things when they look good. haha silly goose, you should have known about the tail bone before! thogh i guess I only really know cause I have and Arab so I can see it when he sticks his tail in the air. I'm gald to have helped you though. I should have pointed it out a lot sooner. haha I don't think he cares i brought him apples and treats, he's a mostly happy camper, except for the mud xD that could be it. I dunno, but it's possible.

They totally are! And they're using them a lot lately so I wouldn't be surprised if it is a duet between them. But I suppose it could also be a duet of Need You Now between Finn and Rachel. That would be good, too.
I do know about it, it's pretty much all Gracie has lol! But I never really thought about it when painting tails, thus explaining why I can never get the shape and flow right. I can't wait to paint a tail now! Well I'm glad he's happy. If he's sick of the mud I suppose he could trade places with Penny. We've been getting way too much snow the past couple days and she's not too happy about that.
Hehe yeah I remember that. Those were the simpler times. That was one of the manips I hid feet, yup. I did it way more than just in that one though.

Speaking of not liking certain characters, I meant to tell you when we were talking about it on Facebook that I'm glad there's someone else out there who likes Jenna Ushkowitz/Tina! No one I talk to likes Tina, or Jenna's voice (except in the Dog Days are Over). She's not my favourite character, but I still love her. And the more often she's featured the more I like her.

haha probably. She's a great character for the show, but just has that unlikable air to her. It doesn't help that after every time she redeems herself and becomes good she turns around and does somethign bad. hehe I loved that scene, Jonathan's face, HAHA!

I totally get that, and I think she's getting more like that this season. She's a lot more into herself now. If she were a real person I don't think I'd like her too much. But on TV she's hilarious. Jonathan's face in that scene made my life! He's the king of facial expressions. Showface! 8D
I know! No one I talk to likes her. She's awesome, just underused. I love in that episode when the guys were imagining coach Beist to cool down, and she does it too, and Rachel's wondering why Beist is so mad at them. "Not you, just the guys... and Tina."
Aww, leaves aren't bad. There aren't any of those around here right now. Sue's pretty good in the trailer, I think she'd do fine on the ride. But I'd miss her too much. So I would have to come with her.

Ugh, in Spring Awakening, they always bleach Hanschen's hair. The guy who originally had the role was naturally blonde, so it worked (Here's a picture, since I know you're going to ask lol! [link] ) but with the people who have played him since... well: [link]
Lol! some episodes he looks good, some he looks bad. It depends on how the other main guy looks in that episode. The guy who plays Ty isn't blonde, but he was freaking adorable. [link] But in some of the recent episodes he grows a fugly little beard and mustache thing. More than the stubble he has in that picture, it looks disgusting. So on those episodes, the other guy looks better by comparison.

YEAH! like the kid in Flipped(see note) is supposed to have dark hair and Blue eyes, but in the movie he has blonde hair and brown eyes(which I admit are not as captivating as blue, but still), I'm glad they didn't dye his hair and make him wear contacts. It's all in the director's interpretation anyway.

Exactly! Hair and eye colour are rarely that important in movies. It matters in movies like Twilight, of course, but in most movies and musicals about human beings, it doesn't really matter.
