Description I heard that a certain Livi-Livered wanted a Beethoven from Santa, but instead he offered another composer. XD

Anyways, jokes apart, this is part of an art trade with Livi-Livered Β that we settled. She just loves Beethoven, I took some liberties when drawing, but I tried to keep his main features. Hope you like it!

OMG! Have you seen Livi-Livered 's part of the art trade?! It's so cute!! I loved it!

OH MY GOODNESS
This is wonderful! I absolutely love it! You captured his features so well! Thank you so much! I will have the picture for you up soon. I'm sorry I'm a little slow. This week has been quite busy. I will try to put up the picture either today or tomorrow. No later than that!Β

And I love that you saw my santa comic. :'D (santa offered me my least favorite composer too ah hahaha) XD

Glad to know you liked it! It was pretty fun for me to draw this one, it has been some time since the last time I used traditional soft-shading. It's quite relaxing.

Thanks to that rap battle, I tend to think of Beethoven's music as infinitely superior to today's music.

I've watched that too! I liked so much the rhymes and the puns!

My liking to classic music is kinda recent and it also took me some times to start liking them, it's rare for me to understand the beauty of a music in my first time listening. It usually happens to most of people. XD

One classical number that I really liked...Toccata in D Major. I learned about it from the Ace Attorney games, and I had to look it up myself. I do like Beethoven a great deal, but I find Sebastian Bach somewhat better.

You're like my mother! She does likes Beethoven too, but her favorite will always be Bach!

You can tell their music was simply something else. It had to be in their times, though. Because some musicians were invited to play for the king or emperor and they had 3 chances--being if the king yawns 3 times...that poor musician's career is over. I'm glad orchestral music is featured quite a bit in games and movies, because it keeps reminding us of one thing: today's music isn't made with the same stakes the original composers faced, which is why I have a strong aversion to pop music of this age.Β

I'm pretty into orchestral arranges, but after some time playing games with huge arranges it gets a little tiring actually. Final Fantasy has been investing a lot in orchestras, however it has been even more difficult to create a song with a memorable melody considering the amount of instruments and dynamics. Maybe that's why John Williams is so famous.

I should point you to the Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia OST. It especially tends to hold a lot of meaning if one's also heard the music from Fire Emblem Gaiden. It also has a somewhat small soundtrack compared to most games.

Being the big fan of Napoleon Bonaparte that I am, one angle of musical history that always interests me is how Beethoven dedicated Symphony No. 3Β to Napoleon, but, then after learning that Napoleon was crowning himself as Emperor of France, in a fit of rage scratched out any link to Napoleon.

Wowie, Beethoven's symphonies seems to hold more history than what I thought. XD
