Description Spurred on by the success of the basic tender, I decided to have a go at virtual-scratchbuilding a complete locomotive.  While some parts are to be added in the traditional way, around 90% of the engine will be pre-assembled and ready for painting.  The wheels depicted are in themselves an experiment; bought ones might be necessary, but can only try!  If a success overall, it might just be made available for sale...

The prototype is 1846 Furness Railway No. 3 'Coppernob', not in the National Railway Museum, York.

Thanks.  The wheels are an absolute punt and might not work at all, but having a go based on commercial wheel dimensions (hence a bit wide compared to the prototype).

It looks amazing! If that was for sale I would buy it, with permission from a adult of course.

Thanks.  A fair way to go before being made publicly available (not least printing & checking it actually works!), but nice to know there's interest.
