Yep, the Smooooch meme, featuring the Cutie Mark Crusaders!Haven't played the song yet on a IIDX cab, but I found a Stepmania simfile based on the DDR X2 version the other day. The song got stuck in my head and I just happened to think the CMC would be a good fit for the meme! So thar you go!

But seriously, Jdan, I have to admit, your idea of integrating the CMCs into this particular meme was a stroke of pure GENIUS, and frankly, I'm most surprised at the fact that this particular idea had not really crossed my mind AT ALL in the past, considering how perfect the CMCs fit this role, as you have so awesomely demonstrated here, and also the fact that the song "Smooooch" itself holds a very special place in my heart as well (Probably due to the fact that, besides from the tune's intoxicating catchiness, it was the very first level 10 "Another Difficulty" IIDX track that I ever AAA'd; haha 
And also, I absolutely love your sweet design on the CMCs humanized forms; especially Applebloom's in particular. In most cases, it seems that AB's human form is most commonly depicted in some kind of short-sleeved blouse and jean shorts, but I love the fact that she is donning a very cute-looking dress in your interpretation here; it's quite the nicely refreshing change-up to her normally-seen design indeed! ^^
All-in-all, this piece was a wonderful smile-inducing one for sure, and your impeccable execution of the CMCs in their human forms has such a pleasing air of cuteness about them that could truly warm any soul out there. This idea of yours was truly superb, Jdan, and I thank you so very much for sharing it with us.
And BTW, on another Bemani/Kors K-related note: have you, by any chance, seen this video of Kors K's recent IIDX/Reflec Beat "sequel" to Smooooch track, "Wuv U", here?

Since neither the IIDX or Reflec Beat versions of the song have a corresponding video along with them, apparently, the video itself was completely fan-made, but I really think it complemented the song quite well, wouldn't you agree?

Thanks for sharing the link! Wuv U sounds equally catchy as Smooooch. And it's surprising to hear that the video was fan-made! It's very professional and ought to be the official vid for the song! And I've seen demos for Reflec Beat before, but the gameplay left me really confused! It's like Konami crossed a rhythm game with air hockey and patterns from bullet-hell shooters! 
The Bemani series has given us a lot of sugary-sweet (but often deceptively-hard) songs. Smooooch in particular pairs up a catchy song with a simple but daww-inducing video. It has that certain charm that made popular enough to be a meme. The CMC just felt like a perfect fit for the song's trio of characters and overall cutesy-ness.
I was considering other characters as well when I decided to work on the meme. The PPG would also have been a good choice. Actually, the CMC are practically interchangeable with the PPG! You can tell Lauren Faust carried something over from her previous projects!
As for Apple Bloom's design, she's been drawn in a yellow dress every now and then in fanart, so I figured why not for this pic. Overalls suit her well, but she's not as tomboyish as AJ so a dress works for her too! You might say her humanized form can alternate between work clothes and casual wear.
I might take this a step further. The template creator actually provided the full run cycle in PNG files, so it shouldn't be too hard to make an animated version!
