Is this unit still in active service, or just reserve?

gotta love those classic ALF trucks. our local department still has a '65 pumper in service, complete with a detroit diesel and a classic federal Q siren. i love seeing that thing run, it sounds and looks so good.

I like to find a old truck with a Federal C5 siren, but Q's arent too bad.

Three dumb questions:
Can you still get repair parts?
What are the two rollbar looking frames over the hose bed?
Is there some means of enclosing the cab with canvas or?

I'm sure you can still get parts, this design lasted until the mid 90's, with a few updates to the face.
The two roll bars were where the reels were. The shriners kept it on I guess so they could stand in parades on the truck.
I never seen a canvas on a open cab, but many of these types got refurbished and had their cabs enclosed, or replaced.

A lot of fire truck cabs started getting enclosed after the riots of the 60's, when rioters began throwing things at the passing trucks.
