this is the request i got"an angel squid with a see through head that has a ship floating on a sea of ink, i want the ship to look all tattered and beat down with a storm above it and for it to be riding a huge swell. i also want the squid to have like two or three tentacles wrapped around a light house that is cracking in half, all of it will be grey shaded and the only color will come from the red striped on the lighthouse and one red eye on the squid. sounds weird but i want it... "

The storm should meet all of the top border, but other than that it looks beautiful and furious.

I think the angel squid was done really well. the idea of having the head see through with the ship is really interesting as well.
The ship could use some more work, especially the mast. Maybe if the ship was tilted down, looking like it's going to sail right down the squads face.
The lighthouse isn't very noticeable either, I'm not sure i would have known it was a lighthouse if i hadn't read the description. What if the light house was where the anchor is and the tentacles are breaking it into multiple sections, this would allow the lighthouse to be bigger and more prominent.
The shield and thunder storm and the jagged bar things near the squids eyes close the image off, and seem to distract from the main focus of the piece.
It's friggin awesome though.

i fully agree on all points, it was a challenge to figure out how to incorporate all the elements he wanted and if i drew it again id reconsider, its part of the reason i drew it tho because it was so crazy to try and get all the elements on there clear enough. i wont be redrawing or fixing anything on this tho, its done.
