For quite a while now, I've been watching live Japanese tv for the most recent episodes of the Pokemon anime. It's kind of a hassle since that involves getting up at 4 in the morning each Thursday.. However, one of the shows before Pokemon is called 'Cocotama' which is probably one of the cutest shows I've seen this year!
It's kinda targeted towards 7 year old girls to sell toys. So why is J so invested in anime for bebies??? Well, what started as a time waster while waiting for Pokemon is slowly starting to become a personal soft spot for me. I just can't resist cute things!XP Even despite being RAW without subtitles, the episodes are pretty easy to follow. The plots are very simple, being a kids anime.

So Cocotamas are these tiny spiritual 'gods' that hatch out of these special eggs that come from certain beloved objects once said object becomes a certain age. In this case, Luckytama is the spirit of lucky colored pencil. After being.....born I guess, the Cocotama's goal is to help people and earn their 'Happy Stars'. Collecting enough Happy Stars will enable the Cocotama to become a full fledged god! But they all must be kept secret or else the Cocotama will fade from existence.

Now ofcourse there's more Cocotama besides Luckytama! He's just my personal fav~ vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/h…

Each Cocotama also their own magic abilities and themes. So Luckytama has the power the grant good luck to people, others can summon food, make music, and manipulate objects etc.

There doesn't seem to be a big Cocotama following on here.. But again, it's probably because it's just for little girls. Even when I go to anime conventions, I can't find any figures or plushies. I'd kill for a little Luckytama figure!;A;
