My first real rescue ranger fan art. This bugger took me eight hours just to color it. But anyway this is a scene from the story "the day Dale became smart" by Indy in collaboration with Chris Silva. Nimnul's labratory has just exploded with Dale supposedly inside. This is one of my favorite fanfics and the one that started my journey into the rescue ranger fan world.Related content

Anyhow, there is a fan-fic where Gadget is the ONLY survivor of a mission that turned out to be a TRAP ! The others are already dead when the curtain goes up. After Gadget manages to escape, it turns out that the Rescue Rangers were an incorporated branch of the Rescuers,(Bianca and Bernard are top officers there) and, in view of what happened, Bianca and Bernard reassign Gadget to assist the characters from "The Secret of Nimh".

That sounds like they were trying to crossover as much as they could. Its an interesting idea but it doesn't really mesh well. The secret of Nimh states that the mice and rats were only intelligent due to an injection. I think gadget would argue with that. Do they actually explain that or is it ignored?

Too often in a fan-fiction or a sequel, data is ignored ,oft to allow the return of a character known to be dead, or to allow a cross-over.
I've done the same, to construct a huge multiverse, but have never been able to add 2 universes: the Cthulhu Mythos (would trivialize it) & the cosmos of Stapledon's LAST AND FIRST MEN. Certain meshings were awkward. I retconned all that away, tho, in my projected minimalization of things to drop all this scifi stuff.

Thank you, being my first real piece of work I'm very proud of this one. As for where I found the story, I originally read it at the Foxglove feature, however I don't think its on that site anymore. No problamo! ive always loved the Rescue Rangers when i was a kid and i still do! i just finished reading it and its another very sad story that me me cry and ur picture made me pictured that scene in the story!

Yea it was kinda sad at times but it wasn't a full blow angst story so I find it very enjoyable. So, did you enjoy it despite the sad parts, because of the sad parts, or did you not like it?
