Description

In Sonic the Hedgehog IDW Comic Issue #67, Surge the Tenrec and Kitsunami the Fennec join the Restoration Army (for whatever reason). If this all a plan on taking their revenge, then I'm sure it will backfire once they run into Belle the Tinkerer. Dr. Starline used Belle's source code to rewrite their personalities. She must be the key to restoring them to their former selves. Even if it doesn't happen right away, I need these two to have a redemption arc. I'm sure the three of them will hit it off fine. They do have a lot in common; the bunch of "machines" that had their lives, families, and purpose taken away by Starline himself. They may accept Belle as their very first friend.

Scenario: (since the next arc isn't out yet)

Surge and Kit learn from Starline's files that he used Belle you overwrite their minds, and the heroes may figure it out as well and use her as a countermeasure against the two. So after joining the Restoration, they tried to destroy her so that 'that' wouldn't happen. Right before they go for the kill, Belle accidentally used her router abilities and access the electrical parts of their brains. Since it was her source code that was used in the experiments on Surge and Kit, her systems become comparable to theirs. She was able to show them her own memories, and she can see into theirs (what little they have), including some memories in their subconscious about their past lives that were believed to have been erased. Belle couldn't help Kitsunami before because she didn't understand him at the time. So she decided to help fix their minds by trying to access and repair what ever damage Starline did bit-by-bit as a form of "therapy session". It may take a long time, but at least the two will be able to trust her. It's best to seek help from someone who understands you.

I thinking..."Team Cyber".
