First deviation of the year!!!!
And I gotta say, I'm pretty darn pleased with it
It took me AGES to do though, my butt hurts from sitting in the same place for 3 hours straight XD
I don't know exactly how long it took me to do this, but it was between four and five hours
that's a long time for me to spend on a drawing. But the result was pretty good, if I do say so myself So happy new year everyone!

the things I point out are always the randomest ones, but thosefrontlegsomg. love. and the shoulders/chest make me happy as well. <3
The whole thing is pretty great, but I'll point out a few things since you asked for critique...
*The hooves are too small. especially the one in the air, it would have to be bigger to hold the horse up properly.
*small but as I remember her tail is regular sizeish, right? so we should be able to see a little of it.
*I like what you did with the splashes, but there needs to be more shading in the background. especially in the water.
*oh and I love the neck.

I would have put the tail in, but it wasn't in the reference image, and by the time I'd realised it should be there, I couldn't be bothered.
And to be honest, I wasn't really trying too hard, it was just a backdrop for my masterpiece XD

It's true, I always notice awkward things that don't sound all too flattering. I have a friend who draws wonderful horses, but I always am the one person to say how nice the rump and hindquarters are XD
